Sometimes I lose track of my pre-orders. Admittedly, I’ve been pre-ordering less since last year to better manage this hobby of mine. I’m also running out of display space which is why I’m only picking the figs that I truly want. That said, TMNT figs still have a 90% chance of making the cut. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to build a video game collection which is why I got these Hiya Toys Contra figs.

Growing up in the 90s, Contra was one of the video games that introduced me to gaming. I played it on our Family Computer console in those bootleg 50-in-1 cartridges back in the day. My siblings and I called the characters Dutch and Rambo because Bill Rizer and Lance Bean reminded us of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Them good old days, mate!
