Figure Feature # 4: NECA TMNT The Last Ronin Donatello

We’ve finally reached the last Turtle from NECA’s TMNT Last Ronin line, Donatello the genius. It’s been a blast taking photos of these figures because all of them look absolutely amazing. Each Turtle has a unique look and details that set them apart and makes them stand out. This is quite rare compared to most TMNT toy lines where the Turtles are often butt-nekkid. haha There are a few lines that offer similar variety and these are based from the 2014 live action movie. Playmates and threezero if I remember correctly. On with the show!

Initially, I thought it was unusual for Donnie to be dressed in a traditional gi. I was expecting something more of a tactical outfit packed with gadgets and thingamajigs that Donnie has. It still looks great though. Donnie comes with his iconic bo staff, a removable hat which I’m not fond of, multiple pairs of interchangeable hands, a spare head and a sashimono or banner representing the Hamato Clan.

Like his brothers, Donnie’s sculpt, details and paint applications are outstanding. Seriously, NECA did an excellent job with these figs. I’ve said it before but the only drawback is the somewhat limited articulation. However, you can still get decent poses so it’s a minor issue. I still consider it a great fig.
