Totally Mature Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Variants

Howdy, folks! For today’s Squad Goals feature, we’re diving into some of the the coolest variants of our beloved TMNT gang. Presenting the Last Ronin figs of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello by NECA. On with the show!

They’re finally out of the box! As much as I love NECA figs, I totally hate unboxing them. The tie downs are such a pain to deal with. I understand the company must have its reasons for using tie-downs but man, it would be great if they switched to clamshells like them Japanese brands. It probably took me about 10 minutes per fig just to free them and their accessories from the packaging. The whole ordeal was worth it though because these Turtles are fire!

Each Turtle boasts a unique design straight from the Last Ronin comics, and NECA has done an outstanding job bringing them to life with these figs. In my opinion, every visual details is spot on from the intricate sculpts of the heads, clothing and accessories to the precise paint apps. While articulation is somewhat limited (as expected with a NECA fig), it’s enough to get decent poses out of them. This is a minor drawback that I can easily overlook because these Turtles look fantastic. Put them on a vanilla pose and they’d still look badass. I think these might be my favorite NECA TMNT figures to date.
